Fluorite is the crystal form of calcium fluoride.  It is found in a range of colors, and is known for it's distinctive cubic forms. It glows purple under UV light, and the term fluorescence is derived from the crystal.

This is for the specimen pictured and is a particularly magnificent deep shade of green.
